Over 2.48 Lakh Youth Offered Jobs Under Jharkhand Skill Mission

Ranchi: Under the Jharkhand Skill Development Mission (JSDM), a total of 2,48,347 candidates have been offered job placements across various schemes aimed at enhancing employability and vocational training. As per official data, 8,56,496 people have registered under the mission so far.

Out of these, 6,20,749 were enrolled in different training programmes, and 5,39,948 individuals received skill training. Among them, 3,98,603 were certified, ultimately leading to job offers for more than 2.48 lakh youth.

Highest Placement Under DDU-GKY Scheme

The Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra (DDU-GKY) scheme recorded the highest number of job offers. Out of 3,67,580 people counselled under the scheme, 3,28,239 were enrolled, and 2,95,702 underwent training. A total of 1,49,680 candidates received job offers under this scheme alone.

Birsa Scheme’s Contribution

Under the BIRSA (Block Level Institute for Rural Skill Acquisition) scheme, 74,527 people received counselling, 58,620 were enrolled, and 35,042 were trained. Of them, 10,239 candidates were given job offers.

  • Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Overall:

    • Registered: 8,56,496

  • EXCEL (Employability Excellence with College Education and Learning):

    • Counselling: 9,829

    • Enrolled: 9,301

    • Trained: 7,652

    • Job Offers: 2,379

     

  • DDU-GKY:

    • Counselling: 3,67,580

    • Enrolled: 3,28,239

    • Trained: 2,95,702

    • Job Offers: 1,49,680

     

  • SJKVY (Saksham Jharkhand Kaushal Vikas Yojana):

    • Counselling: 2,46,717

    • Enrolled: 2,19,761

    • Trained: 1,97,099

    • Job Offers: 86,049

     

  • BIRSA Scheme:

    • Counselling: 74,527

    • Enrolled: 58,620

    • Trained: 35,042

    • Job Offers: 10,239

     

The data reflects the state government’s commitment to bridging the skill gap and empowering youth across Jharkhand with employment opportunities through systematic training and placement initiatives.
