Jamshedpur, June 20: The South Eastern Railway (SER) today notified the cancellation of over 20 mail and express trains tomorrow, June 21 at Odisha’s Bahanaga Bazar Station for maintenance work.
Bahanaga Bazar Station which falls in the Kharagpur-Bhadrak Section under the Kharagpur division of South Eastern Railway was in the news as it witnessed the triple train mishap killing around 300 passengers on June 2.
The mishap had badly damaged the tracks, signalling system and overhead equipments.
The trains which will remain cancelled include Balasore-Bhadrak MEMU Special, Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Express, Howrah-Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam Express, Howrah-Bhadrak Express, Kharagpur-Khurda Road Express, Kharagpur-Jajpur Keonjhar Road Express, Shalimar-Secunderabad Express, Shalimar-Hyderabad East Coast Express, Shalimar-Secunderabad Express, Bhadrak-Howrah Express, Jajpur Keonjhar Road-Kharagpur Express, Puri-Howrah Shatabdi Express, Bhadrak-Balasore MEMU Special, Khurda Road-Kharagpur Express, Shalimar-Puri Express, Shalimar-Sambalpur Express, Visakhapatnam-Shalimar Express, Tambaram-Santragachi Express, Hyderabad-Shalimar East Coast Express, Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal-Howrah Express, Puducherry-Howrah Express and MGR Chennai Central-Shalimar Express.
08063 Kharagpur-Bhadrak MEMU Special, journey commencing on June 21, will be short-terminated at Balasore.
08064 Bhadrak-Kharagpur MEMU Special, journey commencing on June 21, will originate from Balasore.
A couple of trains will run on a diverted route. The 18478 Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Puri Express, journey commencing on 21.06.2023, will run on a diverted route via Jharsuguda Road while the 18477 Puri – Yog Nagari Rishikesh Express, journey commencing on 21.06.2023, will also run on the same diverted route.
