Daltonganj, April 20: 58 traffic cops and officials today got goggles and ‘gamchha’ (thin towel) by Palamu SP Chandan Kumar Sinha.

SP Sinha said this has been done as a measure to beat the summer heat. He said that traffic cops spend most of the duration of their duty on the roads under the sun.

He further said the goggles and towel were bought from the office expenses fund.

Notably, Palamu continues to remain very hot these days.

Deputy inspector general of police Palamu R K Lakra said, “Our range Palamu is the hottest one while Latehar district, which comes in the range, is having lesser day temperature than Palamu.

Traffic in-charge Rudrananad Saras said his entire contingent is very happy to have these two things in such a hard time.
