Jamshedpur, Feb 18: IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre issued a forecast of a partly cloudy sky in various parts of the state during the next 24 hours.
Weathermen said a cyclonic circulation over Tripura and its neighbourhood was today lying over East Bangladesh extending up to 3.1 Km above the mean sea level.
Mainly light easterly to south-easterly wind was prevailing at lower levels of the atmosphere.
Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24- hours. The highest maximum temperature of 30.4°C was recorded at Chaibasa in neighbouring West Singhbhum while the lowest minimum temperature of 10.7°C was recorded at Garhwa.
Satellite pictures suggested that a partly cloudy sky prevailed in south-eastern and northern parts while mainly clear sky in the remaining parts of the state.
The forecast indicated a gradual rise in minimum temperature by 2-3 °C during the next three days thereafter no large change in the subsequent two days.
