“These new series of coins will remind people of the goal of amrit kal and motivate people to work towards the development of the country,” said PM Modi, addressing the event.
PM Modi also unveiled the ‘Jan Samarth portal,’ a credit-linked portal with information on 12 government initiatives. Each of these programmes, according to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, will be featured on the platform.
Jan Samarth Site, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), is a one-stop digital portal that connects government credit initiatives. It is a first-of-its-kind platform that connects beneficiaries with lenders directly.
The portal’s major goal is to promote equitable growth and development across multiple sectors by directing and providing them with the appropriate government benefits via simple and straightforward digital methods. The gateway ensures that all linked initiatives are covered from beginning to end.
Notably, PM Modi was attending the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ ‘Iconic Week Celebrations’ at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (AKAM) is commemorating the week (June 6-11) in order to emphasis on reforms.
