New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday thanked US President Donald Trump for personally calling to wish him on his 75th birthday and reiterated India’s support for American efforts to bring peace in war-torn Ukraine. In a post on X, PM Modi said he remained committed to elevating the India-US Comprehensive and Global Strategic Partnership.

Modi Highlights India-US Partnership

“Thank you, my friend, President Trump, for your phone call and warm greetings on my 75th birthday. Like you, I am also fully committed to taking the India-US Comprehensive and Global Partnership to new heights,” PM Modi wrote, adding, “We support your initiatives towards a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict.”

Trump Shares Warm Note On Truth Social

After the call, Trump posted on Truth Social, expressing appreciation for Modi’s message and India’s support in ending the Russia-Ukraine war. “Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job. Narendra: Thank you for your support on ending the war between Russia and Ukraine!” Trump wrote, signing off with “President DJT”.
