New Delhi, June 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the meeting of the Union Council of Ministers on July 3. Officials gave this information today on Thursday. Notably, a day earlier, Prime Minister Modi had a meeting here with the top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) including Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda after which the speculation about a possible reshuffle in the Council of Ministers started.

The July 3 meeting is likely to be held at the newly constructed convention centre at Pragati Maidan. The G20 summit will be organized in this centre in September. With the presence of BJP President JP Nadda in the meeting with Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday, speculations of change in the government and BJP organization started. In this, speculations are also being made about the possibility of change in the party organization in view of the important assembly elections to be held at the end of the year and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

In the last few days, Amit Shah, Nadda and BJP General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh have held several rounds of discussions on organizational and political issues. Elections are to be held in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Mizoram at the end of this year. The meeting of the Council of Ministers is being held a few days before the monsoon session of the Parliament. The monsoon session is likely to start in the third week of July.
