“She complained about uneasiness and we thought it would be better to give her proper medical treatment. Doctors from Saraikela took her to RIMS. She is stable now. However, doctors have taken samples for routine pathological examination after CT scanning of her body,” I.G (operation) and police spokesperson, A.V.Homkar, confirming her admission.

RIMS spokesperson, Dr. Dipendra Kumar Sinha echoed I.G (operation) Homkar saying her further course of action will be decided after a report of her pathological examination comes.

“She was admitted to the paying ward. She is under the care of doctor of medicine department Dr B.Kumar. Her further course of treatment will be decided after the report comes,” Dr Sinha said.

After the admission of a high profile lady Maoist at RIMS, the only state run super specialty hospital, security has been beefed up there. Over a dozen of Jharkhand Jaguar Jawans equipped with firearms have been deputed for security of the lady. One can see them at the entrance of the paying ward and Room No.3 on the first floor of the paying ward where she has been admitted.

Marandi was arrested with her husband and four others on November 12. Police made her arrest official on November 15. After the official announcement, police took her with her husband on police remand and now today she landed in RIMS on the same floor where RJD chief Lalu Prasad was admitted during his imprisonment.
