Ramgarh, Aug 17: Rajrappa police have arrested a compounder Govind Kumar Das on the charges of molesting a woman constable on Independence Day in the Ramgarh sub-jail.
The accused compounder was sent to jail on Tuesday after an FIR in the police station on the written complaint of the woman constable.
According to the information, on Monday, the victim woman constable was bringing chairs and tables from the office along with other constables for Independence Day celebrations. Meanwhile, Govind Kumar Das who was coming up from the stairs started molesting her while doing obscene acts on the stairs.
On making noise, the company commander immediately came near the stair and asked Govind why was he behaving like that on which, he went to his room and closed the door from inside.
The incident was informed to the jailer who called the Rajrappa police station and a team took the accused to the police station.
