Police arrest two with looted goods in Hazaribag

Hazaribag, May 28: With theft and snatching taking place in the city frequently, Hazaribag SP Manoj Ratan Chauthe today informed catching two criminals by Pelawal police which reached on time where a man’s bike and other valuables were looted last night. Chauthe said the police team has also recovered the looted goods from the duo. One of the snatchers fled and for his arrest raids are going on.

Sources said the Hazaribagh police got information that under the Pelawal outpost area, three people are thrashing one person so as to loot his bike, mobile, gold chain and other valuables. On reaching there, the victim told the police that after assaulting him, the trio ran away looting his bike, gold chain, mobile and wallet.

The police team followed the path of retreat and raided the area arresting two recovering the looted goods including a black-coloured bike bearing the registration number JH0-2/AH 7715, a black purse, one mobile and a gold locket chain weighing about five grams.

Chauthe said two arrested were identified as Abhishek Kumar a.k.a Chotu(23) and Suraj Kumar Chandravanshi. Police are searching for the third one who escaped by taking advantage of the darkness on Saturday night.

The raiding team included Pelawal outpost officer-in-charge Abhishek Kumar Singh, Bhagirath Paswan and an armed team.
