Prez secretariat takes note of former MP Salkhan Murmu’s letter urging for tribal empowerment

Ranchi, April 9: The President Secretariat has taken cognizance of the letter of former MP and National President of Adivasi Sengel Abhiyan (ASA) Salkhan Murmu by which he had suggested the way to empower tribes of India.

Murmu had sent the letter on March 16 while the cognizance was taken on March 30. The secretariat sent his letter to the Secretary of the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Murmu informed this to lagatar24.com sharing the details he had shared for the tribal empowerment.

He has stressed upon the need of protecting tribal languages, culture and Sarna religion besides promoting anti-dynastic constitutional law, and reform in the tribal self-government system.

Murmu while information about the development also let this correspondent know that on April 30, he will organize a Santhali Rajbhasha Rally at Morabadi in Ranchi and then on June 30 in New Delhi.
