Prof Anil Ashutosh elected president of Sindri Lions Club

Dhanbad Aug 16: Prof Anil Ashutosh and Sardar Onkar Singh were unanimously elected president and secretary respectively at the 19th installation ceremony of the Sindri Lions Club.

Past District Governor of Lions Club Lion Madhukar Sinha installed the new officer bearers at the ceremony held at Sindri Officers Club for the tenure of 2023-24 under Prof Anil Ashutosh.

Besides secretary Onkar Singh, vice-president Lion Harvinder Singh, administrator Lion Prasat Pandey, treasurer Lion Hardev Kaur, Lion Masuk Ahmed, Lion Dilip Retolia, Lion Akhilesh Singh, Lion Bachha Prabhat, Lion Manoj Mishra, Lion Mritunjay Kumar, Lion Prem Singh Tiger, Lion Sanjay Kumar Sab, Lion Uday Prakash Sahay, Lion Vikash Kumar Ray, Lion Manoj Kumar, Lion Gourav Mallick were also installed on different posts.

The official said that on the occasion three new persons Lion Prof Sharmistha Acharya, Prof Lion Naresh Kumar Singh (Sindri College) and Bharti Kumari were given membership of the Sindri Lions Club.

Newly elected president Lion Anil Ashutosh said that the new committee has already chalked welfare programmes of the year in which besides hosting langar for helpless persons in remote areas of the district, Sindri Lions Club would adopt poor students for providing their all-academic requirements.

On the occasion, chief guest ex-District Governor of undivided Bihar ( District 322)  Lion Inder Mohan Menon congratulated the Lions Club Sindri for completing 50 years and highly appreciated its welfare works performed during the period.

Region chairperson Lion Madan Mohan, Zone chairperson Lion Roshan Agrawal, Lion Dilip  Subhikhi, Lion Rajesh Jaiswal, Lion Girdhari Agrawal, Lion Kalyan Bhattacharya, Lion Sunil Singh, Lion Dipak Prasad, Lion Santosh Kumar, Lion  Swatantra Kumar, Lion Ritesh Dubey and other Lions were also present.
