New Delhi: Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi recently interacted with students of Delhi University’s Gargi College and discussed several national and campus issues. Later, he shared the meeting on X, calling Gen Z the future of India.

Discussion on Key Issues
During the interaction, students reportedly discussed topics such as the ABVP controversy, the Women’s Reservation Bill, ethnic tensions in Manipur, colonial history, and caste inequality.

Rahul Gandhi said such conversations with young women give confidence that the country’s future is in safe hands.

Rahul Gandhi’s Message on X
Sharing a video of the meeting, Rahul Gandhi wrote that Gen Z women will lead the future and it is the nation’s duty to open every door of opportunity for them. He added that meeting the students of Gargi College and Delhi University was a joyful experience.

Campus Concerns Raised
According to Rahul Gandhi, some students alleged that ABVP members forcefully entered the campus and created disturbance. One student claimed gates were broken and police did not stop them.

Students also said ABVP members were sitting near the staff entry-exit gate and became aggressive when asked to move.

Views on Women’s Reservation Bill
Rahul Gandhi also discussed the Women’s Reservation Bill and said the opposition had supported it in 2023. However, he alleged the current proposal is linked to delimitation and could disturb the balance of southern and northeastern states.
