Bharatpur, Oct 25: In the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, a man was ruthlessly run over by a tractor during a dispute over land. Locals were observed filming the incident rather than stepping in when a video of it became viral on social media.

The Adda village is where the incident happened. According to Omprakash Kilaniya, Assistant Superintendent of Police Bharatpur, the man who was driven over by the tractor has been identified as Nirpat Gurjar, and the person operating the tractor is allegedly his brother Damodar Gurjar.

“The person who killed Narpat Singh by riding a tractor over him appears to be Damodar Gurjar, the brother of the deceased. There was a fight between the two parties three days back as well. Today, there was a fight again between them, and it seems the brother hopped on a tractor and killed Nirpat,” Kilaniya said.

Police stated that Nirpat and Damodar had a protracted land dispute.

The police have so far taken five people into custody, and they are currently searching for the remaining individuals.

Rajasthan’s opposition and people are both strongly criticizing the incident.

Sambit Patra, the spokesperson for the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), criticized the incident and attributed it to “all Congress-ruled states”. Additionally, he stated that Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, who is scheduled to visit poll-bound Rajasthan on Wednesday, visit Bharatpur as well.

“She (Priyanka) should go there and suspend the police officials, DM, SP and show that she has the courage to take a stand and she is not just for speeches and sloganeering. She has to project that she has a spine. This is a call to Priyanka Vadra. I challenge her to go there first,” Patra said.
