Patna: The much-awaited Rajgir Mahotsav 2024 kicks off today, December 21, at the State Guest House Grounds in Rajgir. This three-day event, running from December 21 to 23, is themed “Jahan Nari, Wahan Vijay” to celebrate women’s empowerment. The festival will showcase a mix of cultural performances and sports competitions, drawing visitors from across the state and beyond.

The opening ceremony will be inaugurated by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Other prominent attendees include District In-Charge Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, MP Kaushalendra Kumar, District Council Chairperson Tanuja Kumari, Vice Chairperson Narottam, and Deputy Chief Councillor Munni Devi.

Star-Studded Musical Performances

Each evening of the festival promises enchanting musical performances:

•December 21: Bollywood sensation Jubin Nautiyal will grace the stage with his soulful voice.

•December 22: Talented singers Arunita Kanjilal and Pawandeep Rajan will perform mesmerizing duets.

•December 23: Renowned folk singer Maithili Thakur will captivate the audience with her traditional melodies.

Local artists will also get an opportunity to showcase their talents between 2 PM and 4 PM daily, adding a touch of regional charm to the festivities.

Legacy of Rajgir Mahotsav

Over the years, Rajgir Mahotsav has hosted several acclaimed artists, including Hema Malini, Anup Jalota, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Jaspinder Narula, and Anuradha Paudwal, making it a significant cultural celebration in Bihar.

The festival aims to promote local talent while celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage through music, art, and sports, making it a must-visit event for enthusiasts.
