Ramgarh, Nov 24: Ramgarh College dominated the Athletics Meet 2022-23 organised by Vinoba Bhave University at St Columba’s College Hazaribag. Overall, the athletics team of Ramgarh College brought laurels to the district and the college by winning four gold and two silver medals.
The athletics team was warmly welcomed on the return of Ramgarh College on Wednesday. Participants from eight colleges participated in the competition and showed their mettle. Monika Kumari of Ramgarh College won the gold medal by performing tremendously in races of 5,000 and 10,000 meters.
Along with this, Monika was also awarded the Vishwa Vidyalaya Women’s Best Athlete Award. Bhumika Kumari won silver and gold medals in 4,000 meters and 8,000 meters respectively. Aman Kumar got gold in the 10-kilometre walk. Monika Kumar and Aman Kumar have been selected for East Zone which will be held from December 21 to 23 in Bhubaneswar.
