Ramgarh, March 9: Ramgarh Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra visited the Maa Chhinnamastika Siddha Peeth Rajrappa temple located in Chitarpur block on Wednesday.
The DC took stock of the work being done under the new initiative by the district administration to make incense sticks, gulal and other things using organic material.
She encouraged the local people on the spot by appreciating the work being done by them.
BDO Chitarpur Uday Kumar regularly inspects the work being done in the temple premises, selling incense sticks and gulal in the local market.
On the instructions of the DC, an initiative was taken to make incense sticks, gulal and other materials from flowers, belpatra etc. used in the temple premises to keep the Rajrappa temple complex and its surrounding water sources clean.
Through this initiative, employment is being provided to the local people on a priority basis and work is also being done to provide a better market for the materials.
