Ramgarh: Divisional Commissioner reviews Voter List Special Brief Revision Programme 2023

Ramgarh, Dec 9: Divisional Commissioner cum Electoral Roll Observer, North Chotanagpur Division Chandra Kishore Oraon on his visit to Ramgarh reviewed the work done in Mandu area under Voter List Special Brief Revision Programme 2023 on Friday.

Oraon further directed officials to ensure necessary action to add the name of every eligible person who is over 18 years of age on January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1 to the voter list. He further instructed to remove the names of those who are not residing in the district from the voter list.

On the occasion, he said that in order to strengthen the election process, it is very important that every eligible voter have his voter ID card and exercise his franchise to vote. For this, he also instructed that voters be made aware of voting using various mediums.

Taking information about the work being done under the linking of voter ID card with the Aadhaar card, Oraon directed officials to ensure that all voters’ voter ID card is linked with the Aadhaar card and to complete the target as soon as possible.

Oraon said that in today’s era when people are taking advantage of various facilities by using mobile, it is a very effective tool to make people aware of the election process and election-related activities.

During this, while providing information about the benefits of the Voter Helpline App, he directed that wide publicity of the App be done. He was further honoured with a Guard of Honor by the District Administration, Ramgarh, at the Block Office Complex on Friday.

Executive Magistrate Ramgarh Prabhas Dutta, Block Development Officer Mandu Sudhir Kumar, Circle Officer Mandu Jaikumar Ram among others were present on the occasion.
