Ramgarh, Feb 9: Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais visited the Siddha Peeth Maa Chhinnamastika Temple on Wednesday to offer prayers with the family.
The Governor was accompanied by his wife, son, daughter-in-law, grandson and other members. He along with his family enjoyed the beautiful valleys, rivers and forests of the temple area.
When the Governor arrived at Rajrappa, first a guard of honour was given to him led by Sergeant Major Mansu Gop of Ramgarh District Police Force.
“I should have come to Maa Chhinnamastika earlier. But Maa’s call came today and I reached to worship her. Our country is known because Shakti is worshiped here. Our country runs by the power of God,” Governor Bais said.
“While worshiping Maa Chhinnamastika, I have made a vow to her for the welfare of the state and development as well as for the convenience of the people. I am sure that Maa will do well for Jharkhand,” he added.
A tight security arrangement was made by the administration regarding the Governor’s programme. Armed police personnel of panther Mobile were stationed in the jungle area from Chitarpur to Rajrappa temple.
A large number of officers including the District Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar, DDC Nagendra Kumar Sinha, SDPO KK Rajak, SDO Md. Javed Hussain were also present.
The priest of the temple, Aseem Panda, Shubhashish Panda and other Pandas were present during the worship. A photo of Maa Chhinnamastika was given to the Governor by the Rajrappa Temple Trust Committee as a symbol.
