Ramgarh, Aug 2: The body of Dhananjay Prasad, a teacher at Cantonment Board Upgraded High School, Naisarai, was found on the railway track near Kothar on Monday. Deep wound marks were found on the forehead and eyes of the deceased.
As soon as the information was received, the Ramgarh police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. They took possession of the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital Ramgarh for postmortem.
Meanwhile, Meera Kumari, the wife of the deceased teacher, has given an application to the Ramgarh police station and expressed the apprehension of murder. She said that the killer might have dumped her husband’s body on the railway track after killing him.
According to Meera, Dhananjay Prasad had left Cantt Quarter Ramgarh at around 8 pm on July 31 but did not return at night.
“When we started to search him in the morning, we got the information that the dead body of a person had been seen near the old railway gate near Kothar Jail Road. My family members went to the said place and found Dhananjay’s body. We suspect that someone killed him and threw his body on the railway track,” she said.
The mobile of the deceased has also been confiscated by the police from the spot.
Inspector Harinandan Singh, in-charge of the police station, said that prima facie, the case seems to be death after being hit by a train. “The deceased’s wife has expressed the possibility of murder. However, the real cause of death will be known after the postmortem report. We are investigating the case,” he said.
