Ramgarh, Sept 6: The election for the 2022-24 session of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Ramgarh branch was held on Monday evening and Dr Mahalaxmi Prasad was elected unanimously as the President.
Moreover, Dr Sudhir Arya, Dr Swaraj and Dr Somaya Jain were selected for the post of Vice President, Dr Rahul Barelia for the post of Treasurer and Dr Vishal Kumar for the post of PRO.
Dr Prasad expressed her gratitude to the members of IMA for the nomination of President unanimously in the election of IMA. She said that the hope and confidence with which IMA has entrusted her with the responsibility. Trying to work in the interest of the organization will be done sincerely with the whole team.
In the election, secret ballot was conducted under the supervision of Election Officer Dr ND Sahay and Associate Election Officers Dr Anil Kumar Singh and Dr VK Sinha when there was no consensus on the post of Secretary. Dr Thakur Mrityunjay Kumar Singh and Dr Dinesh Kumar (Surgeon) filed their nominations for the post of Secretary where only 60 members of IMA members casted their votes. Dr Thakur Mrityunjay Kumar Singh got the maximum number of votes and the election officer declared him the winner.
Certificates were also given to the elected office bearers of IMA after the election.
