Ramgarh, Feb 24: The Mandu police of Bhutahi village in Ramgarh on Thursday informed that they have arrested the husband Md Aslam alias Sonu of the deceased woman, the body of whom was found on January 17 in a half-burnt state.
Disclosing the matter, the police arrested the husband and sent him to judicial custody. It is said that Aslam is a native of the village Madhwa in the Jamua police station of Giridih district. He is said to have been a resident of Driver Haat, West Bokaro, Ghatotand.
Mandu police station in-charge Anant Kumar Singh said that the accused is her husband. Notably, Aslam suspected his wife of having an illicit relationship. As a result of this, the couple would often have heated arguments. It is also said that the accused was looking to get married for the third time. The woman Aslam was looking to marry also helped the accused get the wife out of the way.
Upon getting an opportunity, Aslam murdered his wife and escaped into the forest, said Singh. Notably, the police had registered an FIR against unknown criminals in the police station under case number 16/2023 in the case of the murder after the body was recovered.
