Ramgarh: RPF recovers bodies of youth, girl on Swarnarekha railway overbridge

Ramgarh, Feb 9: Bodies of a youth (28) and a girl (20) were found on the Swarnarekha railway overbridge in the Muri-Barkakana rail section, under Barlanga police station of Ramgarh district on Wednesday morning.

 

RPF personnel, during patrolling, saw the bodies of both of them on the track in the middle of the overbridge. Hundreds of villagers gathered thereafter the news spread.

 

Barlanga police station in-charge Amit Kumar said, “After seeing the bodies, the apprehension was expressed that both are lovers. It is being speculated that the bodies may have been thrown on the railway overbridge after killing them.”

 

“The face of the 20-year-old girl is covered with her scarf. While a cut mark was found in one finger of the 28-year-old youth.  Apart from this, no marks of injury etc. have been found anywhere on the outer part of their body.  Both bodies were lying face to face in the middle of the bridge.  Both the slippers are at the same place,” he added.

 

The police also seized two mobile phones under the Swarnarekha railway bridge during the investigation. Police are trying to identify both the deceased based on the seized mobiles.
