Ramgarh: Sector magistrate and polling officer review preparation for Assembly by-elections

Ramgarh, Feb 26: In view of the upcoming 23rd Ramgarh Assembly by-election 2023, wherein polling is to be held on February 27 (Monday), the Sector Magistrate and the polling officer reviewed the dispatch center set up at Ramgarh College on Sunday.

District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra, Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey and other senior officers took stock of the works by being present at the dispatch center.

On the occasion, DC Mishra congratulated all the sector magistrates and polling officials for conducting polling in a peaceful and malpractice-free manner while taking stock of the materials and other works being done. She further gave several necessary directions in this regard. Instructions were also given to all the officers.

She further instructed all sector magistrates and polling officers to take special care of the time on the day of polling and to begin polling at the scheduled time.

Notably, voting is to be held on Monday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. A total of 335734 voters, including 173550 male and 162184 female voters, will exercise their franchise under 23 Ramgarh Assembly.

As per information, 405 polling stations have been set up in a total of 233 buildings, wherein 118 polling stations have been set up in Ramgarh block, 64 in Dulmi block, 70 in Chitarpur block and 153 in Gola block. Here, a total of 55 sectors and 10 clusters have been created. Availability of sufficient number of police force has been ensured to provide security to polling personnel and polling materials.

Strong room and counting hall for the voting has been set up in Ramgarh College, the control room is to be operated 24×7 at the district level to conduct elections in a fair manner, telephone numbers for which are 06553 261522/ 9973314112.

During the dispatch, Senior Officer Personnel Cell-cum-Deputy Development Commissioner, Senior Officer Election Coordination Cell-cum-Additional Collector, Electoral Officer 23 Ramgarh Assembly Constituency cum Sub-Divisional Officer, senior officers/in-charge of various cells and others were present.
