Ramgarh: Student dies in road mishap; locals block Ranchi-Patna NH

Ramgarh, Feb 17: An uncontrolled truck rammed into a student who was waiting to go to school on Ranchi-Hazaribagh four-lane on Thursday morning (February 17) in Hesagada of Mandu police station area of the district.

 

Due to the severity of the accident, the student died on the spot. He has been identified as Manish Mehta. He was accompanied by his brother who somehow saved his life by running away.

 

After the incident, the angry villagers blocked the Ranchi-Patna national highway. Mandu police have reached the accident site to clear the road jam. People who blocked the road are also opposing the police at the accident site.

 

According to the information, Manish was standing on the side of the four-lane road in Hesagada to go to school when he was hit by the vehicle. The unbalanced truck overturned after the incident.

 

Troubled by the continuous accidents on the four-lane, people blocked the road. Local dignitaries and officers of the police administration are trying to get the agitated people to end the road jam by trying to convince them.
