Ramgarh, March 31: The body of a Tata Steel employee was found hanging from a noose in his quarter of Tata Steel residential colony located in Mukundabeda under the West Bokaro OP area.
The residents of the colony informed the Tata Steel Security Department after being disturbed by the foul smell emanating from the quarter.
After getting the information, police, TISCO security department officials and RCOMS leaders reached the spot. When the police broke the door, they found the body swinging in the room with the help of a rope.
Colony residents and officials identified the deceased as 36-year-old Santu Singh Rajput alias Ravi Ranjan Singh, son of CB Singh. He had been working in the washery since 2017 in the New Series Utility Hand.
The incident was also informed to the father of the deceased immediately and he reached the spot. The condition of the body revealed that the deceased had hanged himself about a week ago.
The people of the colony told that Santu lived mostly alone and did not use to meet anyone. The deceased was married and has three daughters and a son. They live with Santu’s parents in Sandi.
