Ramgarh, Dec 29: A two-day `Manthan Yatra’ under the program ‘Dhwani’ was organised by the Tata Steel Foundation, West Bokaro on Thursday at TSF Conference Hall.
‘Manthan Yatra’ is a preceding program under Dhwani to understand the perspectives of adolescents, youths, teachers and PRI members from gram panchayats of Mandu block. Further, the selected participants will be given the opportunity to participate in a centrally organized program ‘Dhwani’, where they will compete with other participants from different locations of TSF.
‘Dhwani’ is a youth conclave organized annually by Tata Steel Foundation since 2017 to draw the attention of the International Community to the issues faced by the youths and also to celebrate the potential of the youth as active partners in the global society.
This year, Manthan Yatra has brought the PRI members, teachers, youths, changemakers and ground workers such as ASHA, AWW and Sahiyaas from operational gram-panchayats of TSL, West Bokaro together to discuss the theme for Dhwani 2022 i.e., ‘Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages’.
Meanwhile, the participants shared their views and opinions and expressed the need for change on the part of parents, teachers and students. They also emphasized the need to focus on educating rural communities to develop self-reliant skills.
Addressing the audience, the teachers threw light on the importance of imparting necessary skills such as understanding finance, entrepreneurship and many more.
Apart from this, traditional dance forms such as Nagpuriya, Santhali and theme-based dance were presented by the participants.
Finally, the prize distribution ceremony was held for the participants who participated in various activities of the Manthan Yatra.
The program was attended by MB. V. Sudhir Kumar, Chief, CB, TSL, WB as the chief guest along with Rajesh Kumar, Chief CEP, TSL, WB, Mahesh Prasad, President, RCMU, WB, Rajesh Kumar, Chief CEP, TSL, WB and many more.
The entire program was coordinated by the RISHTA team of TSF, West Bokaro.
