Ranchi: In a bid to swiftly address public grievances, the Ranchi district administration is leveraging technology to enhance its response system. After the success of the Abua Saathi Helpline (9430328080), the administration is now set to launch a new initiative, ‘Talk to DC’, allowing direct communication between citizens and the Deputy Commissioner (DC).

‘Talk to DC’ to Begin on March 8

Starting March 8, rural residents will be able to register their complaints between 11 AM and 1 PM at their nearest Pragya Kendra (Common Service Centers). These grievances will be addressed via video conferencing directly by Ranchi DC Manjunath Bhajantri.

To facilitate this initiative, designated spaces in Panchayat Bhawans will be set up where people can voice their concerns in real-time. Additionally, officials including nodal officers from relevant departments, Block Development Officers (BDOs), and Circle Officers (COs) will also participate in the grievance redressal process.

DC Bhajantri recently conducted a review meeting with officials to assess preparations and issued necessary instructions to ensure the initiative runs smoothly.

Strict Implementation of Forest Rights Act

Parallel to this, SDO Utkarsh Kumar held a meeting with all Circle Officers (COs) on Thursday to review the implementation of the Forest Rights Act. The focus was on resolving pending individual and community forest rights claims.

Officials highlighted the need for better coordination between Revenue, Forest, and Land departments, to which the SDO directed swift interdepartmental collaboration to expedite resolutions.

This initiative marks a significant step toward bridging the gap between the administration and the public, ensuring quick and effective problem-solving for citizens.
