Ranchi, Feb 21: Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan directed all the BDOs to hold meetings with the school principals and complete the 15 plus vaccination during the District Level Covid Task Force meeting today.

“How many children are there in the schools of rural areas and how many have been vaccinated, after taking information from the principal of the school, get them vaccinated,” the DC said.

During the meeting, the DC while reviewing the Covid-19 vaccination and prevention of infection gave necessary directions to the senior officials of all the cells.

In the meeting, the DC reviewed the work of Covid-19 vaccination in the district. After the completion of the first dose almost 100% in the district, he directed to focus on the second dose and 15 plus vaccinations.

DC Ranjan asked all the BDOs to make 15 plus vaccination work by making a weekly schedule. He said that a meeting of the Block Level Task Force should prepare an action plan and vaccinate the missing adolescents. He added that the weekly vaccination work would be reviewed every Monday.

The principals of the schools will give information about how many children are in private schools in Ranchi city and how many have been vaccinated against Covid-19. In this regard, the DC has issued a letter to all the private schools and directed them to send information in the given format.

In view of the decline in corona infection, the DC said that the senior officers of all the cells should review and tell how much manpower they require so that the deputed employees can be sent to their native places.

All district level officers, civil surgeon, nodal officers of all cells; all BDO, CO, MOIC and PMU members of the district were present in the meeting organized through a virtual medium.
