Ranchi, Jan 31: Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan directed the officials of the supply department to ensure 100% distribution of food grains by February 15 during the virtual review meeting of the District supply department today.
In the meeting, the distribution of food grains allotted under the National Food Security Act for December 2021 and January 2022 was reviewed by the DC.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed displeasure over the distribution of 92.16 per cent of the food grains of December 2021 and 80.98 per cent of the food grains of January 2022 among the beneficiaries.
The Sona-Sobran Dhoti-Sari scheme was also reviewed by the DC during the meeting. For the financial year 2020-21, the time till 31 January 2022 was fixed to provide the benefits of the scheme to the eligible beneficiaries. A strict warning was given by the DC for non-distribution of clothes among 100% beneficiaries.
He said that the benefit of the Sona-Sobran Dhoti-Sari Distribution Scheme for the financial year 2020-21 should be ensured to the eligible beneficiaries by February 15, 2022.
Under the Jharkhand State Food Security Scheme, the online distribution report against the allocated food grains for the last month was also reviewed by the DC.
Strict instructions were given by the DC to all the Assistant District Supply Officers / Marketing Officers / Block Supply Officers of Ranchi District to print the ration cards of the beneficiaries covered under the Jharkhand State Food Security Scheme and distribute them among the beneficiaries by February 15, 2022.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner gave necessary directions while reviewing the lifting and distribution of food grains and Aadhar seeding under PMGKY.
District Supply Officer Albert Bilung, all Assistant District Supply Officers, Marketing Officers and Block Supply Officers were present in the review meeting through a virtual medium.
