Ranchi, Jan 30: the Marwari College on Monday organised the Nehru Yuva Kendra Ranchi District Nodal Level Youth Parliament Speech Competition 2023 along with an online webinar for National Youth Parliament through an online medium. The competition saw participation from 28 participants from 7 districts including Ranchi, Khunti, Jamtara, Dumka, Godda, Pakur, and Sahebganj under the Nodal District Ranchi.
These include two youths each selected from Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) and National Service Scheme (NSS) in each district.
Honey Sinha, Regional Director and Jharkhand State Director of NYK graced the event as chief guest and said that it was a golden opportunity for the students to enhance their talents.
The participants presented their views on 3 topics including Health Welfare and Sports (Agenda for Youth), Skill Development (one of the keys to empowering youth) and Social Media(Youth Approach).
After the webinar by Dr Kamal Bose, Gaurav Aggarwal, Dr Pump Sen, Dr Renu Sinha, and Anubhav Chakraborty of the five-member jury, the participants were evaluated. Yogesh Kumar Jha (Ranchi) bagged the first prize, while the second prize was won by Shailendra Murmu (Ranchi). In the case of Dumka, the first place was bagged by Jyoti Tudu while the second place was given to Arvind Kumar Tudu. Other winners include Sambal Kumar Jha and Anuradha Rani from Godda, Anchala Kumari and Sana Iqbal from Jamtara.
Similarly, Prakash Tuti won and second place was bagged by Neetu Kumari from the Khunti district. From the Pakur district, winners included Amit Saha and Mukesh Kumar Pandey, while winners from Sahebganj were Aman Kumar Holi and Khushilal Pandit. Notably, the first and second-place participants from each district will participate in the state-level competition in the first week of February.
