Ranchi, Jan.17: BJP’s national secretary and Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakra has condemned the gang rape of a 15-year-old minor in Chanho that took place on Sunday morning.
She said that the incident exposed the poor governance of Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the state and raised concern over the security of daughters.
“In a state where the daughters are being robbed off and the head of the state is watching them in silence, then the gruesome picture of the future can be imagined,” she said.
“Criminals are roaming freely in the state. It has become clear from the incident of gang rape that the state government is moving towards autocracy. There is no law and order in the state,” she added.
Seeking reason behind this lawlessness from the CM she asked whether mothers, daughters and sisters of the state had crowned Hemant Soren to see this day?
She informed that the minor who became victim of the gang rape was preparing for a job in the army and in the morning she was on running practicing on the national highway at 5:30 in the morning.
“Had there been a highway police patrolling party alert, criminals would not have dared to commit such an act. In the name of arresting the criminals, the police are trying to suppress the case. But what is the guarantee that no such incident will happen tomorrow morning again,” she said.
