Ranchi, June 10: The Muslim community today closed their business establishments in the Jharkhand capital and staged a demonstration against suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma for her negative remark against  Prophet Mohammed.

A major protest was noticed near Equra Mosque on the Main Road where a section of Muslims was noticed shouting anti-Sharma slogans and demanding capital punishment for her.

A proper security arrangement was made on the Main Road when the protest was on and a section of Muslims were offering Namaz as a matter of their Friday (Jumma) routine.

A protester who did not want to be identified said a protest march will also be organised after Namaz.
