Ranchi, June 9: PLFI extremists shot at and injured a petty contractor Manik Sahu at Ganjhu Tola under Mccluskieganj police station.

The incident took place around 11am when Sahu was sitting in a room near the railway crossing on Ganjhu Tola Dhamdhamia Road. Extremists had come on a motorbike. Before they shot at the leg of Sahu they attacked his head with a pistol butt.

Sahu was rushed to CCL’s Dakra-based Central Hospital, from where he was referred to RIMS for better treatment.

S.P(rural) Naushad Alam confirmed the incident saying the extremist has been identified as Krishna who had escaped from Balumath Jail. “Krishna Yadav had demanded a levy three days ago but unfortunately the contractor did not inform us regarding the demand and invited trouble,” S.P(rural) Alam said.
