Ranchi: Ranchi University’s Examination Controller Dr. Asha Kumari Prasad has resigned from her post, citing health issues. She had been appointed to the position barely one and a half months ago following approval from the Raj Bhavan.

Decision Pending at Raj Bhavan

Currently, Vice Chancellor Ajit Kumar Sinha cannot take a policy decision on the matter. Therefore, Raj Bhavan will be consulted on Monday to seek further instructions.

Reasons Cited in Resignation Letter

In her resignation letter, Dr. Prasad mentioned that due to health-related challenges, she is unable to effectively discharge the demanding responsibilities of the Examination Controller’s office. With her resignation, the university will now need to appoint a new official to oversee the critical duties associated with conducting examinations.
