Ranchi University VC attends dialogue session at National Commission for Scheduled Tribes

Ranchi, July 24: The Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha of Ranchi University attended the dialogue session of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes in Delhi on Sunday. The Commission has organised this interaction with Vice Chancellors across the country.

The National Dialogue Programme on Scheduled Tribes, was organised to know the participation of students and employees of Scheduled Tribes society in universities, research work on culture, their problems and the efforts made so far in this direction.

Jharkhand being a tribal dominated state, the presence of Ranchi University Vice Chancellor was noted. The VC has also taken with him the ‘Schedule Tribes in Ranchi University: A Brief Description’ and a report of the activities of the Scheduled Tribes in the University.

Notably, the TRL department has already been established decades ago in Ranchi University, wherein Scheduled Castes, Tribes Languages, Art Culture based courses are conducted.
