Retail sale of vehicles increases in Jharkhand

Ramgarh, May 5: The Federation of Automobile Association, Jharkhand Chapter Chairperson and Ramgarh resident, Govind P Mewar, discussing the trend of vehicles sold in April 2023, said that retail sales of vehicles in Jharkhand increased by 3.39% with sales of 44,474 units in April 2023 which was 43014 units in April 2022 in which two wheelers were 36,320 units in April 2023 as compared to 35,591 in April 2022. Comparing 2023 to 2022, it is found that 2023 has seen a slight increase of 2.05%.

Three-wheelers show a huge increase of 46.85% when compared to April 2022. Three wheelers sales in April 2023 are 1,470 units and in April 2022 there were 1001 units sold, the same situation is also visible in commercial vehicles, when compared to April 2022 which shows a 39.70% increase. Commercial vehicle sales in April 2022 were 1,267 units which increased to 1770 units in April 2023.

Tractor sales are also showing good growth from last year, where there were only 554 units in April 2022, it has now increased to 700 units in April 2023.  In comparison, it is found that it is recording a huge increase of 26.35%.

But the sales of passenger vehicles are not good. Passenger vehicle sales in April 2023 have been 4,214 while in April 2022 it was 4,601, comparing which we find that the passenger vehicle registered a decline of 8.41%.

The above data suggest that commercial vehicles, three-wheelers and tractors have shown a positive trend as compared to the previous year. Two-wheelers have made a marginal increase while passenger vehicles have shown a decline in sales compared to the previous year.
