Ranchi: Students of Jharkhand will no longer have to go outside the state for research related to drones, robotics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). An advanced and well-equipped Robotics Research Lab was inaugurated on Monday at Sarla Birla University (SBU), located in Mahilong, Ranchi.
Inauguration Done By MP Dr Pradeep Kumar Verma
The lab was formally inaugurated by Member of Parliament Dr Pradeep Kumar Verma, who cut the ribbon to declare the lab open.
Present on the occasion were SBU Chancellor Jayshree Mohata’s chief advisor Dr Ajit Ranade, University Director Prof Gopal Pathak, Vice-Chancellor Prof C. Jagannathan, Registrar Prof S.K. Dandine, Dean Dr Pankaj Goswami, along with university teachers and staff.
Drone Man Of India Milind Raj Designed The Lab
It is noteworthy that Milind Raj, famously known as the ‘Drone Man of India’, has designed the blueprint of this lab. In the coming days, this lab is expected to provide students and researchers with the latest and crucial knowledge in the field of drones, robotics, and AI research.
Drone Model Demonstration Held During Inauguration
A demonstration of a highly advanced drone model was also conducted during the inauguration event.
University Management Expresses Happiness
SBU Pro Vice-Chancellor Bijay Kumar Dalan expressed happiness over the inauguration of the lab and said that this initiative will benefit students in acquiring practical knowledge and skills in the latest technological domains.
