New Delhi, Dec 13: Indian white-ball captain Rohit Sharma has suffered an injury in a training session in Mumbai before the South Africa tour.
Rohit got this injury when the ball of throw down specialist Raghavendra went straight on his hand. According to a report in Hindustan Times, first Ajinkya Rahane batted for 45 minutes. After Rahane, Rohit Sharma came to practice. During this, the ball hit his gloves.
Notably, the Indian tour of South Africa is going to start from 26 December. Team India will fly to South Africa on 16 December for this tour. Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami are returning in the series against South Africa. Team India has to play the first test on South Africa tour on 26 December. Indian team have only two weeks time. If Rohit will not be fit in the first Test, then KL Rahul can open with Mayank Agarwal in the match.
Interestingly, this tour will be Rohit Sharma’s first tour as ODI captain.
