Ranchi, Sept.2: Railway Protection Force (RPF) today handed over seven minor and three adult girls to the Childline.

The action was taken after RPF sub-inspector Sunita Tirkey accompanied by the Nanhe Farishte team noticed a group of girls, including 14 adults and 7 minors along with an adult boy at 2.25 pm near the RPF assistance booth in suspicious circumstances.

On being asked they did not give any satisfactory reply. On further interrogation, they said that they were going to Tiruppur for stitching and domestic work. After proper verification of their answers and contacting their family members, 10 adult girls and an adult boy were allowed to travel from Hatia to Tiruppur by train number 03351 while the remaining others were detained and information was sent to the Childline.

After some time, Reshma Binha, a team member of Childline Ranchi, turned up at the RPF post and those detained were handed over to her.
