Ranchi, May 23: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has demanded a copy of the file in which departmental action was prosecuted by the BJP government against senior bureaucrat Pooja Singhal and later the government cleared her of charges on February 7, 2017.

Writing a letter to the Chief Secretary, Roy informed that the allegation of scam in implementation of MNREGA scheme on Pooja Singhal was leveled before the formation of the previous government in 2014.

He said that when demonetisation came into force on November 8, 2016, her black transactions became white. In 2017, she was given a clean chit by the then government. Now the Enforcement Directorate has caught her on the same charges.

In 2018, she bought a semi-finished building of Pulse Hospital from a builder named Sarawgi and got it completed. In 2020, the treatment of Covid started in her hospital. Now the ED is asking her for an account of her investment in Pulse. Certainly this investment is between the implementation of demonetisation and 2020, he said.

In such a situation, he said, the secret of giving clean chit to Pooja Singhal is in the related file. This secret buried in the files is required to be probed, Roy in his letter to the chief secretary wrote.
