Ranchi, June 11: Jharkhand Bandh has been called by the Jharkhand State Student Union (JSSU) for two days on 10 and 11 June in protest against the recruitment policy in Jharkhand. On the first day, the bandh was seen as effective in many districts of the state.
On the other hand, on Sunday, the protesters blocked the Ranchi-Patna highway near Ormanjhi since morning. Due to this, the traffic on that route has been completely disrupted. There is a long queue of vehicles on the Ranchi-Patna highway. People are stuck in the jam for hours.
Police are on alert mode for the second day. So that bandh supporters can be dealt with. 1200 police personnel have been deployed in Ranchi. More than 24 CCTV cameras have been installed in the Chief Minister’s residence, Morhabadi Maidan and its surrounding area. Apart from this, two drone cameras have also been kept.
