Jamshedpur, July 13: A team of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday arrested Ameen of Seraikela-Kharsawan district’s Gamharia block for taking a bribe from a land owner.
Identified as Rajkishore Bhagat (52), the Ameen was nabbed while he was accepting Rs 10,000 from the land owner in lieu of extending him some favour.
It is, however, not known exactly on whose complaint the ACB had swung into action.
Having taken the Ameen into custody, the ACB team brought him to its divisional office at Sonari in Jamshedpur for following the necessary legal procedure.
After the ACB’s action resulted in the arrest of the Ameen, the ambience of the Gamharia Circle Office had stretched tight.
It may be mentioned here that the area under the Gamharia block being a thriving industrial belt as well as a real estate business hub, the sole Ameen posted under the Gamharia Circle Office was in great demand for the people, especially doing the real estate business.
