Ranchi, Sept.15: Seven died while three sustained injuries in two major separate road accidents in Ramgarh, about 40km from the Jharkhand capital.
The first accident took place at Muruband on Ramgarh-Bokaro Road under Rajrappa police station area while another took place on Kuju four-lane on Ranchi-Patna Road under Mandu block.
In the first accident, five charred after a car (Wagon-R) bearing registration number BR-01BD 6318 started burning after it rammed into the bonnet of a passenger bus, Maharaja, on way to Dhanbad from Ramgarh. All the bus passengers remained safe with minor burn injuries while all the five sitting in the car were charred.
In the second accident that took place after the car on the way to Ranchi from Bihar collided with a road divider, two died while three sustained injuries.
Superintendent of police of the district Prabhat Kumar confirmed the incident saying “those charred were identified as residents of Patna while those two died after the collision of a car with road divided were identified as residents of Sheikhpura.”
Police are yet to release the list of those charged. The deceased in the second incident included Golu Kumar (28) and Mohit Kumar (26), both residents of Sheikhpura in Bihar. Injured in the incident included Tisu Kumar and Deepak Jha and one unidentified.
