Shallow fog alert in Jharkhand for next 48 hours

Jamshedpur, Dec 29: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued an alert of shallow fog for the next 48 hours.

Moreover, fog prevailed on Thursday morning too. Several places in southern and northwestern Jharkhand witnessed fog this morning. The fog descended soon after sunrise and reduced the visibility below 1200 metres at several places.

According to the forecast, shallow to moderate fog is also expected at isolated places over eastern parts of the state.

The forecast indicated a fall in minimum temperature by 2-3°C over the north and central parts while falling by 4-5°C over south Jharkhand during the next two days; thereafter gradual rise by 2-3°C in subsequent three days.

Statistics revealed that the minimum temperature hovered around 10 degree Celsius at Ranchi, Bokaro, Deoghar, Giridih and several other places.

Jamshedpur and several other parts of southern Jharkhand was a bit warmer where the minimum temperature hovered between 15 and 16 degree Celsius.
