Jamshedpur, Dec 21: Several places across the state witnessed poor visibility this morning due to shallow fog.
The visibility was reduced to 1000 metres in several parts of Kolhan, central and northern parts of the state.
IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre issued an alert of fog and mist for the next 72 hours.
Weathermen said dry condition would prevail in Jharkhand during the next five days atleast as there is no adverse weather system around.
Light north- westerly wind was prevailing in lower level of atmosphere.
A trough was also prevailing around 3.1 Km above the mean sea level.
Ranchi recorded around 9 degree Celsius fir the second consecutive day today while Jamshedpur recorded around 10 degrees.
Bokaro and Chaibasa in neighbouring West Singhbhum also recorded around 9 degrees Celsius.
The minimum reading fluctuated between 6-8 degree Celsius at Simdega, Daltonganj, the Palamau headquarters and several other areas in north- western Jharkhand.
