South Eastern Railway to get four new  trains this festive season

Jamshedpur,  Oct 18: The Union Railway Ministry has gifted four new trains over the South Eastern Railway jurisdiction this festive season.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that this is the first time the Tatanagar- Badampahar/Rairangpur area will have Mail/Express train connectivity.

It was a long pending demand of the area and will fulfil the aspirations of local people.

The trains will run between Kolkata (Shalimar)-Badampahar- Kolkata (Shalimar) Weekly Express, Badampahar-Rourkela-Badampahar Weekly Express, Rourkela-Tatanagar-Rourkela (6 days a week ) and Tatanagar-Badampahar-Tatanagar (6 days a week).

It will boost the local economy, help the development of the tribal area and provide additional connectivity to the aspirational districts. These trains will be introduced very soon.

The Shalimar-Badampahar Weekly Express will leave Shalimar at 11.05 pm every Saturday and will reach Badampahar at 05.40 am, the next day.

In the return direction, Badampahar-Shalimar Express will leave Badampahar at 11.30 pm every Sunday and will arrive at Shalimar at 5 am, the next day.

The train will stop at Santragachi, Kharagpur, Jhargram, Ghatsila, Asanboni, Tatanagar, Bahalda Road, Aunlajori and Rairangpur between Shalimar and Badampahar.

The Badampahar-Rourkela Express will leave Badampahar at 6.10 am every Sunday and will reach Rourkela at 11.40 am, the same day.

In the return direction, the Rourkela-Badampahar Express will leave Rourkela at 2.20 pm every Sunday and will arrive in Badampahar at 7.25 pm, the same day.

The train will stop at Rairangpur, Aunlajori, Bahalda Road, Tatanagar, Sini, Rajkharswan, Chakradharpur, Goelkera and Manoharpur between Badampahar and Rourkela.

The Rourkela-Tatanagar train will leave Rourkela at 4.50 am daily except Sundays and will reach Tatanagar at 9.15 am, the same day.

In the return direction, the Tatanagar-Rourkela train will leave Tatanagar at 3.25 pm daily except Sundays and will arrive in Rourkela at 7.35 pm, on the same day.

The train will stop at Bisra, Manoharpur, Chakradharpur, Sini and Adityapur between Rourkela and Tatanagar.

The Tatanagar-Badampahar train will leave Tatanagar at 09.55 am daily except Sundays and will reach Badampahar at 12.15 pm, the same day.

In the return direction, Badampahar–Tatanagar train will leave Badampahar at 12.45 pm daily except Sundays and will arrive Tatanagar at 3.20 pm, on the same day.

The train will stoppages at Haludpukur, Aunlajori, Rairangpur, Kuldiha and Chhanva between Tatanagar and Badampahar.
