M F AHMAD

Daltonganj, Nov. 22: There will be no garbage burning from now onwards in any of the police stations, outposts and pickets in Palamu district.

SP Palamu, Chandan Kr Sinha, while speaking to lagatar24.com said today that he has issued an order banning burning of garbage in the premise of the police stations.

Sinha said the cops are free to have cleanliness drive as usual but no garbage burning inside the premises will be allowed. If necessary, then the garbage can be set afire at safer places which are away from the premises.

The burst during the cleanliness drive in the premise of the Chainpur police station on Sunday that lead to the hospitalisation of chowkidar Nandu Manjhi has prompted SP Sinha to issue this notice.

Sinha added that he would see if his orders are followed in word and spirit.
