Atul Chandan, who has been representing state team in the National Para Badminton Championship, is considered as a promising player of the SU-5 category to win medal at international stage if he is properly provided with standard training and opportunity.
A badminton expert of Ranchi said that Atul Chandan stole the limelight again from his superb performance in the final and showed glimpse of his potentiality to go ahead provided he is given proper facilities and sponsor.
After an outstanding success of Indian contingent in Tokyo Paralympics Badminton, the event has become popular in Jharkhand. Moreover, since K Prabhakar Rao of Jharkhand is the chairman of the National Paralympic Badminton Association, sports lovers have high hope of the game’s development in the state.
Notably, it is the first time that sports association organised the state championship in large scale. Till date, only Paralympic Association used to organse the championship.
