Ranchi, Nov.16: Descendant of Birsa Munda, Sukhram Munda, today took off for New Delhi to inaugurate weeklong ‘Aadi Mahotsav’ being organized by the union tribal affairs ministry.
Officials of TRIFED, airport, and Vistara welcomed Sukhram Munda as he reached Birsa Munda Airport accompanied by his two sons on the invitation of union tribal affairs minister Arjun Munda in the morning.
The fair is being organized after union government gave Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas status to the birth day of Birsa Munda this year.
Those who are expected to remain present during inauguration include cabinet minister Arjun Munda, minister of state Renuka Singh and Visheshwar Tudu besides social workers of Khunti including Jagannath Munda, Bhim Singh Munda, Chote Rai Munda and Sanjay Munda.
